  Anthony F. Suppa, 89, of Wildwood, NJ. Passed away peacefully at home with his wife, Velma, at his side. Born in Phila. Pa. on September 13, 1927  he shared his time between Wildwood and Pompano Beach, FL. Tony enlisted in the Navy at 16 and he served for 4 years, on his return he lived in Stone Harbor, NJ where he met and married the love of his life for 66 years Velma Dare.  As a successful businessman, Tony opened " Tony's Parking Lot" and had rental properties on the Wildwood boardwalk. Along with the parking lot, Tony and Velma owned and operated The Thunderbird in North Wildwood for 36 years.  Still today friends & patrons share great & fun memories of " The Bird" which was how it was known locally. After the sale of the Thunderbird Inn Tony & Velma purchased the Anglesea Pub which they still own today.
Tony is survived by his wife ,Velma, 2 daughters, a granddaughter, 2 great grandsons, his beloved sister, Maria Hoffman, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Life Mass will be held on Wednesday, Sept 6, 2017 at 11am at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 2901 Atlantic Ave., Wildwood, NJ. A time of visitation will take place from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in Tony's memory can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. Condolences at ingersollgreenwoodfh.com
