Posts to the tribute of John B. Carr

I shall miss John. I first met him at University of Denver. We shared our love of baseball and I would look forward to his letters. Gone but not forgotten. Dale W. Abbott Sugar Land, Texas

John and I hit it off right away one day when we met in his store in 1979. I mentioned that I had just moved to Cape May from Colorado. So that started a connection we shared as he went to the University of Denver. A couple years later John offered to build a retail store at the lumber yard if I would consider moving my retail wallpaper and carpet business there. Of course I said yes and I've rented from him ever since. I've always considered John a good friend all these years. I will miss seeing him after the yard closed feeding his yard cats every afternoon.
