Inga “Helen” (Nelson) Versaggi, 96, of North Wildwood, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2021. Helen was born in Cape Cod, MA and grew up in New Brunswick where she worked for the American Bell Telephone Company prior to coming to North Wildwood. In the early 1960s, she owned and operated a beach stand on 15th Street, serving hot dogs and snow cones to hungry beachgoers. Later, she resumed her work with the telephone company. Throughout her retirement, Helen enjoyed golfing at the Wildwood Golf and Country Club and was a life-long lover of books. Helen will be joining, in eternal life, her husband Ross of 62 years, her sisters Greta Stokes, Mae Minothy, and Sara Holzapfel, and her son-in-law Bob Cashioli. She is survived by her three children, Ross (Karen) Versaggi, Karen Cashioli, and Steve (Lisa) Versaggi, grandchildren Ross (Ali) Versaggi, Scott (Nicole) Versaggi, Kristin (Nicole) Cashioli, and Robert (Diona) Cashioli as well as seven great-grandchildren. Due to the current environment, and at the family’s request, all services will be private. Helen will be interred at the Cape May County Veterans Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her husband.
