Edward J. Benson “Bud” 91 of Wildwood, NJ a resident since 1980 and formally of South Philadelphia, PA passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021. Ed worked as a welder at the Philadelphia Navy Yard and later as a bartender at the County Roost which became Mulligan’s. He was a graduate of South East Catholic High School and a Hall of Fame Mummer since 1989. He was a member of the Pural Comic Club and President of the Cherokee Indians A.C. for many years, and coached football for Edward O'Malley Youth Football. “Ed loved being a bartender and enjoyed his many patrons; he was famous for his Bloody Mary’s!” Pre-deceased by his wife of 49 years, Jane M. (Huber) Benson, sisters, Emma Johnston and Marie McMullen and his grandson Michael Benson. Surviving are his beloved children, Michael Benson and Maryann Tchorzewski (Gary), four grandsons, Gary, Ryan, Brian and Matthew and two great grandsons, Thomas and Gary.
