Michael Stephen O’Brien “Big Mike” of North Wildwood, New Jersey passed away suddenly on February 21, 2025 at the young age of 63. Mike was the beloved husband of Debbie (nee Urban), loving father of Dana O’Brien and Katelyn Stosius (Zach), Pop-Pop to Presley Stosius, dear son of the late Anna Mae Tanner and the late James O'Brien (Margaret), brother of Christine Andrea (Bob), stepbrother of Betty Jane Raysinger (Joe) and Elaine Larkins (Pat). Mike is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins who loved him dearly.

Mike was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. He attended Archbishop Ryan and graduated in 1979. He and Debbie raised their family in Warminster, PA. He was a dedicated Philadelphia Union Carpenter at Local 164 for 35 years. Mike had a deep love for the game of softball and played in adult leagues throughout his life and built many lifelong friends along the way. After retiring in 2020, Debbie and Mike moved to North Wildwood to fulfill a life-long dream of living “at the shore.” Mike enjoyed walking his beloved boxer Edye and bulldog Annabelle in and around North Wildwood everyday. Mike also enjoyed exploring new hobbies and took up a love of fishing and spending time on his boat with his wife. Above all, nothing gave Mike more joy than spending time with friends and family and his precious granddaughter, Presley Evelyn.
