Obituary of Jane J Macrina
Jane (June) Macrina
June 11, 1936 - March 15, 2025
Jane (June) Macrina. joined her husband Vincent Sr., son Vincent Jr. and parents, Angelo and Inez as well as her brother and sisters, in heaven on March 15th, 2025. June was survived by her daughters Janet Capua (dec. Larry Sr.), Janice Macrina (Rick), Joann Dewey (Bill), and son Jaime (Jay) Macrina (Tara) and many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. June was a loving wife, mother, grandmom, and friend to everyone.June was born in Camden, NJ. She was 88 yrs old.
She was the matriarch of the family and made everyone feel welcomed and loved. She loved being down the shore and eventually moved to Wildwood with her husband Vince. She loved to entertain and cook. Her famous homemade gnocchi dinners had her sister Inez and family come up from Florida just to partake (and sometimes take home on the plane). There’s nothing she wouldn’t do for anyone she loved and that list was long. She was a devout Catholic and while living in Camden she belonged to St.Cecilia’s Church where she served as a Eucharistic minister as well as working as a secretary at the rectory for many years. Even when she could no longer attend mass, she would watch it on her phone and her friend would come over to give her communion and enjoy a nice cup of coffee while rooting on her favorite teams, the Phillies or Eagles, depending on the season. She’s probably up there talking to Dad about the Eagles Super Bowl win.The one thing she loved more than anything was her family. June loved being around her children and friends, but especially her grandchildren. She would get so excited when they came over to visit. Although she’d give them a look when they stared at their phones. She deeply missed her husband Vince and is now reunited with him in Heaven. She will be missed every day, but her memories will go on forever
.A celebration and remembrance of June’s life will be held Saturday, April 5, 2025 at St. Ann's Church, 2900 Atlantic Ave., Wildwood, NJ. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:45 am. Mass will follow at 11:00 am.
