Obituary of Joseph Charles Visalli

Joseph C. Visalli, 83, of Wildwood Crest, NJ, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2025, surrounded by family in the home he proudly built and lived in for 38 years.

A powerhouse in the courtroom, Joe served as an Army Lieutenant and one of Cape May County’s longest-standing Superior Court judges. He was a fierce family court attorney, sharp-witted hotelier, devoted church usher, and tireless entrepreneur. Yet, to those who knew him best, Joe was a gentle jokester with a heart full of mischief and love.

He was a devoted husband to Jane, his beloved partner since 1973, a proud and inspiring father to Lauren (Eric) and Janine (Michael), and the world’s best Pop-Pop to Joey, Matthew, AJ, and Andrew. Whether making silly faces in family photos, popping out from corners to startle nieces and nephews, or rebuilding a deck just to prove he could, Joe approached life with humor, grit, and heart.

A true Mr. Fix-It, Joe could repair anything—except maybe his habit of counting meatballs to make sure his sons-in-law didn’t get more than he did. He loved classic cars, Lionel trains, fishing, Sunday pasta dinners, and cruising the Wildwood marshes in his boat.

Above all, Joe cherished being a husband, brother, uncle, cousin, father, and Pop-Pop. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, loyalty, and love that his family will carry forward.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday , April 16, 2025 at 11 am at the Church of The Assumption,  7100 Seaview Ave., Wildwood Crest, NJ.  A viewing from 9:30 am to 10:30 will be held in the Church prior to Mass. Entombment in St. Mary 's Cemetery , Cold Spring , NJ
