Catherine “Kitty” Ann Lloyd (nee Conmy), 83, of  Wildwood, NJ, passed away on  Aug. 11 at Virtua Hospital  in Voorhees, NJ. She was surrounded by her five children. 

Born in Chester, PA, to John and Catherine Conmy, Kitty was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in Moylan,PA. She worked as an administrative assistant at Scott Paper Company before her marriage to Harry P. Lloyd in 1967. In the mid-seventies, they moved the family to South Jersey where she and Harry opened a small business - Harry’s Deli in North Wildwood. 

In the late 70s, she served terms as PTA and CYO president at St. Ann’s school and parish, where her children attended. She returned to the workforce in the early 80s, starting a 16-year career at Tropicana Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City where she helped manage the engineering and purchasing office in  later years, she was a program analyst for the New Jersey Economic Development Authority in Trenton, retiring from there in 2020 after a 20-year career. 

Remembered for her friendly personality, bright smile and caring nature, Kitty made friends wherever she lived and worked. She was a loving  Mom-Mom to her seven grandchildren, whom she adored. Some of her favorite pastimes were watching the Phillies and relaxing on the front porch of her Wildwood home. 

Kitty is survived by her five children: Thomas Lloyd (Laura), Jennifer Carl (Greg), Mariellen Flaherty, Annmarie Taylor (Drew) and Elizabeth Lloyd; her sister  Marguerite France (the late Martin) and brother John Conmy (Eileen); her seven grandchildren: Benjamin, Catherine, Elizabeth, Sean, Declan, Maggie and Eddie; and 20 nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Harry and her sisters Helene Snarponis (William) and Barbara Mills (the late Edward).

Funeral services will be held at Notre Dame de la Mer Church in Wildwood, NJ on Monday, Aug. 18 at 11 a.m.with visitation preceding from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Burial  will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Cold Spring, NJ.   Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
