Dr. Ronald Joseph Gelzunas Obituary
Dr. Ronald Joseph Gelzunas, 90, of North Wildwood, New Jersey passed away October 3, 2025.
Born and raised in South Philadelphia, A graduate of Southeast Catholic High School, Villanova University class of 1956 and Philadelphia College of Osteopathy 1960.
DR. Gelzunas served the community as a family physician tending to thousands with North Wildwood Medical Associates for 55 years.
He was a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air National Guard and served as a Flight Surgeon for the 177th Fighter Wing Atlantic City for 14 years.
He spent his free time pursuing his love of aviation, whether it be spending time at the hangar at the airport or in his garage building his airplanes.
He is predeseased by his wife of 46 years Anastasia Gelzunas, nee DeMedio. He is survived by his children Christine M. Gelzunas and Ronald J. Gelzunas (Angel), his grandchildren Larson and Sara, and his nieces and nephews.
