Henry T Franchville Obituary

Henry T. Franchville, 74, of North Wildwood, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on June 9, 1951, in Camden, New Jersey, Henry moved to North Wildwood at the age of 10, where he would make his lifelong home. He worked for the Cape May County Road Department for 38 years, retiring as Supervisor of Roads Known affectionately as “The Mayor of 7th Street,” Henry could often be found at the family’s outside bar, welcoming family, friends, neighbors, and even the occasional passerby. A passionate Philadelphia sports fan, Henry never held back his opinions—especially when it came to his teams!

His greatest joy, however, was spending time with his family—laughing, cooking, and enjoying a beer together. Although he will be missed by many, he has earned his angel wings—and two strong legs to stand on once more.

Henry is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 53 years, Karen; his children and best friends, Kim Robinson (and her husband Stick) and Kevin Franchville (and his wife Melissa); and his beloved grandchildren, his true pride and joy, Taylor Laing (Jeff) and Ryan Franchville. He is also survived by his sister, Rita St. Clair, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Florence, and his siblings Rose, Floss, and Eddie.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday, November 13th, from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m., followed by a service, at Ingersoll-Greenwood Funeral Home, 1201 Central Ave., North Wildwood, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Henry’s memory to Survivors of Cancer, P.O.
