William “Bill” Morey Jr. passed away at the age of 71 at his home in Wildwood Crest. A proud graduate of Wildwood High School, Bill went on to attend Rider University, where he met the love of his life, Carolyn. Their partnership became the foundation of a life filled with devotion, laughter, and family. 

Bill dedicated over 30 years of his professional career as Operations Manager, Executive Vice President, and Owner of Morey’s Piers. A pioneer in amusement games and concessions, Bill brought innovative ideas and forward thinking leadership to the industry. He found genuine joy in entertaining people and took great pride in making sure every guest had a memorable experience. His steady leadership, creativity, and deep pride in the Wildwoods played a key role in helping shape Morey’s Piers into the beloved destination it is today, leaving a lasting impact on both the company and the community. An avid lifelong sports fan, Bill passionately supported the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, and 76ers, rarely missing an opportunity to cheer on his teams. Above all else, Bill loved his family. He was kind, genuine, and deeply devoted to those he loved. He cherished his three sons — William “Bud” (Erin), Eric, and Brett — and took immense pride in his seven grandchildren: Buddy, Ellasyn, Delaney, Waylon, Joel, Marshall, and Kaia.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Dolores. He is survived by his beloved wife, Carolyn; his siblings, Thomas, Jane and Joan; his sons and daughter - in -law; and his grandchildren, along with many extended family members.

Bill will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his professional legacy, his innovative spirit, his kindness and authenticity, and the warmth he shared with everyone who knew him. A memorial service will be held on January 2, 2026. The family will receive relatives and friends beginning at 10:00 a.m., with a service to follow at 11:00 a.m., at  Assumption Church, 7110 Seaview Avenue, Wildwood Crest, NJ.
