May 20, 1937-December 27, 2025
Marie Louise Spain (nee Atkins) of Wildwood Crest, NJ, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2025, at the age of 88. She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in Moylan, PA, and worked at a number of administrative positions, ultimately retiring as a sales associate at JC Penney’s in Rio Grande.
She is survived by her sister, Joan Dainton, her niece Marianne (Scott Peacock), nephews Ron (Kerry), Gary (Celeste), and Gregg (Danielle), as well as five great nieces and two great, great nieces. She was predeceased by her mother Gertrude Escher Atkins, father Herbert Joseph Atkins, and her brother Herbert Atkins Jr. Marie was quick-witted and loved to laugh. She enjoyed card games, cooking, and spending time with her crazy family.
