Catherine Jaffe, 94, of Wildwood Crest NJ passed away peacefully on January 28th, 2026. Catherine was born in Camden, NJ. She was pre-deceased by her parents Matthew and Mary Botti, her 3 sisters and 2 brothers, daughter-in-law Barbara Jaffe and longtime companion Joseph Salerno.  She was the loving wife of the late Charles Jaffe.

A year round resident since 1961, Catherine and her family were fixtures on the beach and boardwalk. She worked in the family boardwalk concession business for many years along with raising six children. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Catherine was a devout Catholic and parishioner of the Church of the Assumption for over 60 years.She was a woman with many interests. A longtime Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies sports fan who never missed a game. She also loved golf and spent many hours playing with her friends.Catherine gave freely of her time as a volunteer for Deborah Hospital for many years.

She is survived by children Charlene Dinovi (Ray) of Sewell, NJ Chuck Jaffe (Connie) of Rio Grande, NJ   Rebecca Jaffe of San Juan Capistrano, CA Robert Jaffe of Cape May Court House, NJ  Matthew Jaffe (Jessica) of Rouses Point NY Mary Jaffe of Jenkintown, PA. Grandchildren Chad Dinovi (Sasha), Carley Dinovi, Ethan Jaffe, Conner Sullivan, Matison Jaffe, Jaxson Jaffe.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 11 a.m. at the Assumption Church 7110 Seaview Avenue Wildwood Crest where friends will be received by family from 10-11 a.m. Interment will follow Mass at St. Mary’s Cemetery 1056 Seashore Road Cape May, NJ.
