Nancy Haslett Obituary

Nancy Haslett Obituary

Nancy Haslett, a loving wife, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family.

Nancy married her high school sweetheart, Walt Haslett, and spent 65 wonderful years by his side, building a life full of love, laughter, and cherished family memories.

She was a loving mother to Dawn (Kenny), Walt (Liz), and Guy (Nicole), and a proud Nan to Walt (Mary), Tyler, Austin (Brittany), Kristen (Sean), Donovan, Taylor (Matt), and Michael. Her legacy continues through her cherished great-grandchildren, Elianna, Cecilia, Julia, Charlotte, and Chloe, who brought her endless joy.

She is preceded in death by her brother Charles, who died in childhood; her father, James Martin; and her mother, Marie Buckley Martin. She was a loving sister to Penny (and the late Ed), and sister-in-law to Elmer (and the late Dolores). Nancy was also a loving aunt and a friend to many.

Born and raised in the Kensington section of Philadelphia, Nancy and Walt raised their children there, building a home filled with love, family traditions, Catholic education, and strong values. For the past 20 years, she was a full-time resident of West Wildwood, New Jersey, where she enjoyed spending time with family and friends and visiting her favorite places down the shore.

She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures, especially enjoying her favorite pizza from Sam’s and Mack's, and watching her beloved Law & Order and Family Feud. She was known for her laughter, her warmth, and her ability to make everyone feel welcome.

Above all, she will be remembered for the love she gave so freely and the memories she created with her family.

She was deeply loved and will be forever missed.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord,

and let perpetual light shine upon her.

May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed,

through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
