Horace Wiedenmann Obituary

Wiedenmann, Horace C. – age 86, of North Wildwood, passed away on February 15th 2016. Living previously in Philadelphia, Horace spent the past 37 years as a resident of North Wildwood. Horace is predeceased by his wife Helen, who he was married to for 59 years and his brother Jack. He is survived by his son Charles and three daughters, Jane Wilhelm (Tom), Nancy Piazza (Vince), Gail Tracy (Tom). He leaves behind eight grandchildren: Vincent, Thomas, Caroline, Nicholas, Kathryn, James, Jenna and Angelo, as well as his nieces and nephews. Enlisting at 17, Horace proudly served in the Army Air Corps as a medic. He was a lifelong banker, beginning his career as a teller at the Second National Bank in Philadelphia and ending it as a Regional Vice President for First Fidelity Bank of South Jersey. Horace loved his family, his trains and the town of North Wildwood. So many in the town knew him as “Mr. Wied”. To us he will forever be, our Dad and Pop. His happiest moments were spent on the beach with his family and friends near Hereford Inlet. A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, March 7th, 2016 at Cold Spring Presbyterian Cemetery, 780 Seashore Road, Cape May,NJ In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse, Village of Anglesea, 111 North Central Avenue, North Wildwood, NJ 08260.
