Mary Ann Bonner Obituary

Mary Ann Bonner, 85, of North Wildwood, NJ passed away April 30, 2024. Born in Camden, NJ on June 5, 1938, she grew up in Philadelphia, PA and Camden, NJ, also resided in Glenside, PA and Turnersville, NJ and has been a local resident for 16 years. She attended Holy Name Elementary School, Camden Catholic high school and Camden County Community College where she received her associates degree in accounting. She was a caseworker for the Gloucester County Board of social services for over 25 years. Mary Ann was a world traveler with her husband, John P Bonner, Sr and was involved in several local organizations as well as her grandchildren’s extracurricular activities. She loved her family very much and would do anything for anyone. She will be sadly missed by many friends and family whose lives she touched.


She was pre-deceased by her husband, John P Bonner, Sr., who she was married to for 59 years.


She is survived by one son: John P Bonner, Jr.


One daughter: Kathleen Bonner


Two grandsons: LT William Oakley, IV (US Navy) and Edward Patrick Oakley


And one sister: Carol Curran.


Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, May 6 at St Ann’s Church, 2900 Atlantic Ave., Wildwood, NJ where friends and family may call from 10 AM in the church. Interment will be in the Cape May County Veterans Cemetery, Middle Twp, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wounded Warriors Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675 would be appreciated.
