June was born in Albemarle County at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, to Lindsay Colona Draper and Agnes (Winn) Draper on February 26, 1932. June lived in Campbell, VA in her early years, surrounded by many relatives until 9. June moved to Philadelphia thereafter with her family, as her father supported the war effort. June attended high school in Philadelphia but left early and went to work in order to help support her Mom. June worked for Merck, Sharp and Dohme early in life and later worked at Douglas Candies in Wildwood when her husband retired. June loved working for both of these firms. June loved her friends and family, and had a natural talent for interacting with people. June could also be fiercely independent. June married the love of her life on February 14, 1953. June had four sons and two daughters and loved each and every one of them very dearly. June was always there for any of them, and their families. June always tried to ease their problems and was very empathetic. June also loved to listen to her family, enjoying just being with them. June learned to drive later in life and that filled her with immense pride and independence. June could just blossom at times and shower her family with love and understanding. June is survived by three of her children, Joseph Francis Weiss Jr of Annapolis, MD, John Robert Weiss of Erie, PA and Jennifer Marie Bradbury of Fredericksburg, VA. June is also survived by her niece Sandi Davis Hughes of Englewood, FL, her nephew Sam Davis of Philadelphia, PA, by 7 grandsons and 6 granddaughters, and by 7 great-grandsons and 6 greatgranddaughters. June is predeceased by her spouse Joseph, both her parents, her elder sister Elsie Davis, her daughter Carol Ann Dever, her sons Francis Xavier Weiss and Robert Lindsay Weiss, one granddaughter and one great grandson.Condolences may be sent to ingersollgreenwoodfh.com
