Joan G. Godfrey nee McPherson, 83, of Wildwood, NJ passed away on Wed. May 18, 2016 while being comforted by family and staff at Victoria Manor in NCM. She was born in North Wildwood, NJ and spent most of her life in the area. She graduated as her class valedictorian from OCHS in 19__. Joan was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Etta McPherson. She is survived by 3 children: A son, Jim Godfrey and wife Sharon of NCM. Two daughters: Nicole Grant and her partner Margaret Riley of KY; Judy Peterson and husband Robert of VA. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Upon her request, there will not be a viewing or service. A private memorial is being planned. The family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregivers at Victoria Manor.
