Carol Crossland (Fries) , 62, of North Wildwood went home to be with our Lord on June 25, 2016 She is survived by her father John Fries, Sr., her mother Mary Lou Olwell and husband Joseph, her sister Trish Coombs and husband Bill, her brother John Fries and wife Teresa, her nieces Melissa Coombs and Rachel Fries, her uncle Leonard Kane and wife Marianna, and many cousins. Carol was born in Philadelphia on November 29, 1953 and attended Saint Matthews and Nazareth Academy, before her family moved to Wildwood Crest in 1969. She graduated from Wildwood Catholic High School in 1971. She began her insurance career, following in her father's footsteps, at the J. Byrne Agency in Wildwood, where she worked for 30 years. Throughout her life Carol valued her family and enjoyed vacationing with them in Ocean City, MD every year. She also loved cats, and had many throughout her life, including her most recent companion, Reuben, who she affectionately referred to as “her boy.” Carol was blessed with many talents, including painting, and she loved to entertain and cook for her family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with her family on Monday July 11, 2016 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at St. Simeon's By The Sea Episcopal Church, 2502 Central Ave., North Wildwood, NJ 08260 followed by her funeral service at 11:00AM.
