Joan M (Micklow) Novak of Wildwood Crest, NJ passed away on Thursday, June 12th at age 80. Joan was born in Philadelphia, Penna to John and Eleanor Micklow in 1935. Joan attended grammar school in the Kensington section of Philadelphia at St. Hugh Grammar School where she met her husband John (Jack) in the 4th grade.Joan went to Little Flower High school where she was an excellent student winning many awards for secretarial assignments. Joan met Jack again on the boardwalk in Wildwood, New Jersey and asked him to her senior prom. They were married in 1955 after Jack was discharged from the Navy. In later years, Joan became Controller of John Novak Transport Services in Marlton, New Jersey. Later Joan and John moved to Palm Coast, Florida where they retired. Joan is survived by her husband Jack, Son Mark and wife, Elizabeth and two grandchildren, Sarah and Zachary. By a daughter, Judy and her husband, Steve Goebner and two grand children, Jennifer and Gabrielle. Brother in laws, Thomas Nowaczyk and Veronica and their children, Joseph Novak and Barbara and their children . A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Saturday June 20th at Assumption Church 7100 Seaview Ave, Wildwood Crest at 10 AM . Friends may come to a viewing at Assumption Church 9AM till 10AM. Internment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Cape May New Jersey.
