We cannot remember a time where he didn't greet us with a smile no matter what he was doing at the time, and he was always doing.
He loved talking about his many grandchildren and their activities.

Had the pleasure of getting to know Gene, as I was the secretary for the lawyer who helped him with his woes working for N Willdwood. Gene was one of the nicest men I ever met, so passionate about what was right and wrong, and he was right!!! I have never seen a client so very devoted to his town and trying so very hard. He was an inspiration for sure. Bless you Gene, for standing up. A great man.

Many great memories I hold in my Heart that were shared with all of you @ Lilly Courts... Mr S was truly one of the nicest ...always a smile to greet you. I remember him saying you never had a meatball until you had my mothers.He was right

My sympathy to our childhood friends in North Wildwood. Rita, Gina, Rich and Sarge and family. Gene was a great guy. Hardworking and full of fun and vigor. We loved coming to Lilly Court for vacation. How Gene and Rita and the kids made us feel like we were family. I will always hold those memories close to my heart.
