Sorry to hear about Aunt Helen. She was my mom's (Nancy Kaupp) best friend for many
years. I have a home in Wildwood & that's how I found out (at Mass at St. Ann's on
Easter). Johanna lives in Florida & I called her to let her know that her godmother had

So many fond memories, Mrs. Shepherd. Most of all how you made me feel like part of your family and always welcome in your home. It meant so much to me. More than words can say. I will never forget how you taught me how to garden and helped me get started in my first home. You were a dear friend to my mom and she loved you just as much. We both did. We always laughed at how you called my dad, "Big D". Only you could get away with that. I know you are with mom now and you guys are drinking whiskey sours and having fun. I will never forget you.
