Obituary of Elizabeth A Katz

~Elizabeth “Betty” Katz,- 73 ,  of Wildwood Crest,  passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 2, 2017. Born
in Philadelphia, PA , she was an area resident for 53 years.  Betty enjoyed reading, gardening and
volunteering but the most important things to her were family, faith and friends.  She held multiple
positions and owned several businesses local to the Wildwoods, however she spent much of her time
doing what she loved most donating her personal time to the church. Most recently, Betty has been
voluntarily managing the Spiritual Gift Shop at the Assumption Church which supports Wildwood
Catholic High School. Betty will be lovingly remembered by her children Susan, Edwin (Veronica), James
(Jodi), Beth and  six grandchildren Austin, Amelia, Alyssa, Caroline, Shamus and Daniel.  Predeceased by
her husband Edwin Sr, daughter Mary Anne, parents Nicholas and Elizabeth (Nealis) Murphy and brother
James Murphy. A Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday May 11, 2017 at 11:00am at Church of the
Assumption 7100 Seaview Avenue Wildwood Crest, NJ 08260.  Relatives and friends may call from
9:30-10:45am at the church. Burial will be in St Mary’s Cemetery, Lower Township,NJ.  In lieu of flowers
donations may be sent to “Save Wildwood Catholic High School” 15th and Central Ave. North Wildwood,

Betty touched many lives and will be forever remembered for her generosity, kindness, wit and charm.
