Obituary of Joanna M Lacivita
~On Friday, September 15, 2017, Joanna Marie Lacivita, 74, of West Berlin, NJ became
an angel of the Lord. She was reunited with her brother and parents and remains with them in
eternal rest. Born in Philadelphia, PA on March 1, 1943, Joanna was a proud graduate of
Archbishop Prendergast High School in Drexel Hill, PA, Class of 1960 and retiree of Bell of
Pennsylvania. She was most proud of her family and continuing the legacy that her parents
worked so hard to achieve. Joanna was a wonderful friend, business woman, sister, partner,
aunt and great aunt. Words can not express how deeply she will be missed. She is predeceased
by her parents Frank P. and Marie R. Lacivita, and brother Gregory F. Lacivita. She is
survived by Diana Scimeca, her partner in life for 37 years, her sister Debra M. Lacivita, nieces
and nephews Mary Nell and Joseph Murphy, Gregory Jr. and Christina Lacivita, Christopher
and Julia Lacivita and Joanna Cooper, great nieces and nephews Carly, Grace, Joelle, Zachary,
Quintin, Chloe, Jemma and Eva, Her beloved dogs Baby Love and Tuffi, numerous cousins,
aunts, nieces and nephews and life long friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated
Thursday, September 21, 2017 at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 27 Kresson Gibbsboro Rd.
Gibbsboro, NJ where friends may call from 10:30am - 11:45am followed by a Mass at 12 Noon.
Entombment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing, NJ. Donations may be made in her
