Obituary of Denise Patricia Riebel

Denise P. Riebel; 52 of Rio Grande, has steadily and without waver fought the most courageous of battles. She was taken much too soon, surrounded by loving family on Monday evening. Though her body was weak, her spirit is indestructible, and she fought for every minute she graced us with. Her humor and positivity remained with her in her final days. Denise lived on her terms, mostly dancing and singing, often imparting her sayings and words of wisdom, always loving. She aspired to laugh daily, no matter the hurdle she faced, but her fondest times were spent with her family, and being a grandmother was atop her proudest moments.

Denise was preceded in death by her father Donald P. Boyle.

She is survived by her children: son Elijah Riebel; daughter Courtney Riebel (Randolph)- and her children: Harper (BuggaBoo) Camp and Aliyah Brennan; daughter Kirsten Cox (Matthew)- and their children: Matthew (Matty Boy) Cox and Addison (Pigeon) Cox; and beloved father to her children Keith Riebel; mother Joan Leininger; sister Debra Boyle; brothers Derek Leininger, Damian Leininger, David Boyle, Michael Boyle and many lifelong friends, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Denise’s life was much too short, but for those of us who knew her and were touched by her, we understand that the quality of a life far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. We cannot dismiss her strength and sense of humor, and her ability to believe that she could conquer any and all obstacles, given enough time. We will stand stronger and take comfort in knowing she is watching over us.

There will be a memorial mass celebrated at 11AM Friday the 1st of December, at the
