Obituary of William R Hesley

William R. Hesley, 80, of Wildwood Crest, NJ.  Passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his family.  Born in Philadelphia on September 12, 1937, he was a longtime resident of Williamstown, NJ before retiring to Wildwood Crest.  Bill proudly served his country in the US Navy from 1956 through 1960 on the aircraft carriers USS Lake Champlain, USS Tarawa and USS Wasp with the Anti-Submarine Warfare branch.  Bill graduated from LaSalle University in 1972.  His career spanned 40 years in the electronics manufacturing business.  He was an avid golfer and tennis player as well as a voracious reader. Bill was predeceased by his brothers, Bob and Moe, his sister, Mum, and son-in-law, Tim.  He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 59 years, Patricia ( nee Morrison), his children, Janet ( Tim) Mead, Jeff (Cindy) Hesley, Diane ( Bob Irving) Hesley and Jason ( Katie) Hesley,  10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, brothers/ sisters-in-law, dozens of nieces, nephews, and numerous friends in Williamstown and the North Wildwood Senior Center.  A memorial service will be held at Ingersoll-Greenwood Funeral Home, 1201 Central Ave., N. Wildwood NJ  on Wednesday, January 10th from 3-7 PM.  Burial on Thursday, January 11th at 11:00 AM, All Saints Cemetery, Newfield, NJ.
