Bright, Robert E., of Cape May Court House passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 23rd. He was 79. Bob was born on May 23, 1936 and raised in Wildwood, NJ. He spent his early years riding the trolley car up and down Pacific Avenue. After graduating from Wildwood High School, Bob received his bachelor's degree from American University in Washington D.C. He spent many years working for Lippincott Publishing Company. He then returned home to Wildwood, where he opened the original Firehouse Tavern. He was a volunteer fireman for many years in Wildwood. In the years following, he worked for the Wildwood Historical Society-George F. Boyer Museum alongside his father, Robert C. Bright. Bob loved dogs, especially his little girl, Zoey. He is survived by his sister, Joy A. Gryning and husband, Edward, nieces Heather Wanner and Holly Bucy and their children. Friends may call on Monday, July 27th between 11 and 12:30 at the Ingersoll Greenwood Funeral Home, 1201 Central Avenue, North Wildwood, NJ. In lieu of flowers a contribution in his memory may be made to the Animal Welfare Society of Cape May County.
