I will deeply miss my Godmother, Marie. What a beautiful soul! When we spoke on the phone, she was always so uplifting and inspirational. My spirits soared after I spoke to her. I'm certain Marie has already met up with her cousin Ann--my Mom. On this Earth, they both seemed like soul mates. My late friend, Mabel, met Marie just once and was so inspired she wanted to see her again. May they all enjoy each other and have a glorious time in Heaven. I long to hear Marie's sweet voice one more time. Until we meet again.

Mother’s chair is empty
Yet her warmth and energy
Resonate through its fabric
The rhythmic chant of her Hail Marys
Now sparkles, like a halo, in the living room.
Her red, fur-lined shoes, left in the corner of her room
Speak to us of mythic travels, with laughter and tears.
To touch her rosary, or her Bible, or her husband’s coat
She wore constantly, like a Templar Cross,
Is to see her again: the laughing face, the clasped wise, aged hands
She infused us with great love and grace and faith.
Now, as she dreamed, her Jesus has His Arms around her to meet again those she loved in life.
They walk through Heaven and leave fluffy white clouds in their footpaths, can you see?

Hi Carlo, So sorry for your loss. I remember meeting your Mom at the change of command party in Lawrenceville. She reminded me of all of the typical Italian moms I knew growing up. She was so warm and never satisfied that I had eaten enough!! I just heard this morning thru Carl Palmer. I'm sorry I can't make the service but you and your family will be in my prayers.
