Obituary of Andrea L Christensen

Andrea Jancsura Christensen (Candy), 71, of West Wildwood, NJ passed peacefully from this life to join her beloved husband Alan on February 9, 2018. Candy was born in Philadelphia and lived in West Wildwood for over 30 years. Candy worked at the College of Physicians of Philadelphia Medical Library, and more recently retired from her position as secretary at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital after 26 years of service. Candy and Alan were avid animal lovers rescuing numerous cats and dogs over the years, including a Greyhound. Candy was also an active member of the West Wildwood Fire Department’s Ladies Auxiliary serving as Secretary for many years. Candy is survived by her faithful companion Rosie (the dog), and numerous family members as well as friends who welcomed her into their families.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, February 20, 2018, 11:00 AM, at Notre Dame de la Mer Parish at St. Ann’s Church, 2900 Atlantic Avenue, Wildwood, NJ where friends may call from 10:00 AM. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lower Township, NJ at a later date in a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cape May County Animal Shelter.
