Obituary of Rose Mullen Eberle

Rose Mullen Eberle, 94, formerly of North Wildwood NJ and of late Lansdowne, PA, passed awaypeacefully on May 20, 2018.   Born in Philadelphia PA, Rosie spent her early years in her beloved Port Richmond neighborhood and summered with her family in North Wildwood, NJ.   Rosie and family eventually became year-round residents of North Wildwood. 

   Rosie graduated from Hallahan High School in Philadelphia and attended Chestnut Hill College. She began working for the Wildwood radio station WCMC in the mid 1960’s where she hosted the radio program, “In Touch” which featured Rosie interviewing various guests on various topics. She moved from radio to television at WCMC, where she hosted the programs, “Meet the Mayor” where viewers called in questions to Wildwood’s mayor, “Let’s Talk Antiques,” and “Rosie’s Reckless Recipes,” an early precursor to Food Channel Network programs during which Rosie prepared meals live on camera while often also acting as camera operator, refocusing the camera during commercial breaks.Rosie began writing for The Atlantic City Press in the early 1970’s where she remained for several years, earning the title photojournalist for the Social Page covering Cape May County. Rosie took great pride in taking the photographs that accompanied many of her articles.

   Rosie is predeceased by her husband Leonard (“Buddy”), her parents Raymond and Rose Mullen, brothers Eddie and Jimmy, and son Thomas (“Buzzard”) Rennemo. Rosie is survived by her sister, Mary Mullen James, daughter Karen Rennemo Fulton (Boyd), sister-in-law Patricia Carty, daughter-in-law Margie Haynes and beloved nieces, nephews and friends.

    A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 29th, at St. Ann’s Church,Wildwood, NJ, where friends may call at 9 a.m. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lower Township, NJ.. Condolences may be sent to ingersollgreenwoodfh.com
