Mrs. Oslar was the neighbor who always made time to chat. It could be about her garden, how bad the last storm was, a story about working a Neil’s the night before, or just catching up with what was going on in my life. Her eyes would especially light up when she started talking about her own family. Every spring I could count on her to share family stories, especially the ones about the grandchildren. In looking back it really was a treat.
I will always remember her for how she loved both her family and friends, and what they were doing with their lives. She will be missed because she’s someone who CARED.
Thanks for including me as a friend.
Love you,
Joey

Baba, what a beautiful person. I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to spend so much time with her. My favorite memory, it's a funny one! I went to Baba's house with Krista for the 4th of July to be with her family, my 2nd family. Baba said we could spend the night and it was no problem if we went out. So we did and I guess she forgot about us cause she locked us out of the house! We eventually got in and krista and I were laughing! I also think about all the times I saw Baba in her garden, she loved her flowers so much and was so proud of them. Baba was a beautiful person and now a beautiful soul. I wish I could be there to say goodbye. Love you, Danielle

My brother Len and I would like to extend our condolences to the Oslar family from all of the Gordons. Our dad was Neil Gordon and we have many fond memories of Helen and her bubbly personality growing up and working with her at Neil's. She was not someone people forgot and families would request her when they came back the next time because she made their visits so special. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

My”Baba”...
She was there for me for everything. My first words and steps until our last words together before she passed. She taught me nursery rhymes and how to garden when I was small. I would watch her clean, cook, iron and take care of her home and treat it as her place of Peace on Earth because that’s what it was for her. She was and still is my place of Peace on Earth. My Earth Angel has now become my Guardian Angel. She showed me everything a Grandmother could show her Granddaughter. I remember my first talent show we practiced the song “I’ve Been Workin’ On the Railroad” we practiced until we dropped, my Mom and Dad dressed me in this cute little overall conductor outfit and off we all went to the show. I can still remember finding her in the audience to help guide me through. I remember all of the evenings being downstairs (as my Dad, Mom and I lived upstairs for years in her Apartment). We would watch TV and on commercials I would show her my Gymnastics and Dance moves and she would teach me all that she knew from her days of Dance and Gymnastics when she was in her Prime. That’s the thing, to me she was always in her prime. The most beautiful soul, forever young at heart. My everything. Thank you. I love you, Baba
