Charles Edward Carr, 76, of North Wildwood passed away August 19, 2015. A lifelong resident of North Wildwood, Charles graduated from Margaret Mace Elementary and Wildwood High School in 1957. In 1961 he graduated from Wagner College on Staten Island, and the following year received a Master's Degree from Drexel University. Charles was a faithful member of St. Simeon's Episcopal Church, where as a youth he served as an acolyte and Sunday school teacher. As an adult he was a Council Member and also sang in the choir. He enjoyed writing a historical column in the church newspaper. Charles worked in the Burlington County Library system for 49 years, retiring in 2011. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Charles Leslie Carr and Emma Bright Carr. He is survived by a brother, John Carr ( Eleanor) of Cape May; a nephew Kevin Carr ( Diane) of West Cape May, and their daughter Jennifer Simon; a niece, Ann Pennypacker ( Charles) of Chester Springs, PA, and their sons David and Thomas. Funeral services will be held 12 noon Tuesday Aug. 25, 2015 at St. Simeon's Episcopal Church, 2502 Central Ave., North Wildwood, NJ where friends may call from 11am in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Simeon's Church, 2502 Central Ave., N. Wildwood, NJ 08260. Condolences ingersollgreenwoodfh.com.
