I worked with Ralph too at Marine National Bank for many years. Always thought of him as a gentle giant. He always had a smile on his face. He treated everyone with the utmost respect.

Mr. Ransome was probably my favorite employer. When I was in college I worked at the ugly mug, with his children, Gail, Lisa, Steve and Bob. At the end of the summer Mr. Ransome would always allow me to wash and wax his RV. I was always paid well for the job. Mr. Ransome would always say make sure you use the money to get to school and for your books. I went to Salem, WV. and it was a big help every year. I also was privileged to observe some of His carvings when I finished. Mr. Ransome always would check my work out and sit and tallk a little with me. I was very impressed with the detail and workmanship. It was easy to be astonished by his work. The birds he carved actually looked real. Ralph TY for sharing the time you did with me, you made a difference in my life. Rest In Peace, you we be missed by many!
