Obituary of William H Turbett, Jr.
On May 8, 2019 William H. Turbett, Jr. ( Poppie) 81 years old of North Wildwood, New Jersey peacefully passed away at home surrounded by his loving and devoted family. On this date he tightly placed his hand into the hand of the love of his life, Patze, and they were reunited where they will walk hand and hand throughout eternity. He will be sadly missed forever by the loves of his life: his children: Renee, Billy ( Cricket), Todd ( Terry), and Jennifer ( Mark) and grandchildren: Liam, Beka, Lizzie, Tyler, Natalie, Marley, Patrick and Rileigh and will be missed by his dear family members and friends. He was a brother of Local 420 Steamfitters and worked as a loyal employee/brother for over 40 years until his retirement. He was a local North Wildwood Councilman for many years and a committeeman and while holding these different positions his main goals were always to assist in improving his beloved home town of North Wildwood for the better. He was very instrumental in establishing the Joint Cnstruction Offices of Wildwood. Poppie's world centered around his family and friends and on a daily basis he expressed his love and admiration to us all. For we were all his world and he was all ours. His beautiful smile and adorable laugh made the world a much brighter place. Poppie lived his life to the fullest and he shared all his experiences with all of us. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles Fan ( Yes we are Superbowl Champions Poppie and Patze!) and a season ticket holder for over 40 years. He loved to travel and especially go on adventures with the love of his life, Patze, where they shared many laughs together and created such wonderful memories they both treasured. He loved boating ( Ren-Jen) fishing, exercising and skiing and he always shared his passions with his family. As a father and a grandfather you gave us all lives that are near perfection and we are forever grateful for that gift. You were and always will be the definition of a perfect father and grandfather. You gave us all so much love, guidance, respect and strength and for that we are all better people. We will continue on the journey of life but as we do we will all be missing two pieces of our hearts, silent cries will be heard within each of us and hidden tears will be in our eyes overy moment of our lives. Rest easy our dear beautiful perfect Poppie. For there will be no greater man than our Poppie to have walked this earth. We all know you will give Patze great big hugs from us all and we are forever grateful for that. As a rememberance to our Poppie we shall all go forward sharing with others his sweet smile he shared with us everyday of his precious life. We love you Poppie " Handsome Bill" for eternity and every second of our lives you will always be with each of us in a most special way.
