Obituary of Blanche M Meissner
Blanche M (Rusty) Meissner, 97, of Wildwood, NJ, passed away on August 9th at her home. Visitation services will be held at Ingersoll-Greenwood, 12th & Central Ave., N Wildwood on Tuesday, August 13th from 10 to 11 am. and on Friday, August 16th at St. Dominic’s, 8504 Frankfort Ave., Phila. PA from 9 am to 10 am. Rusty was born at 22nd and Leigh to Frank and Rose Hoffman on October 11, 1921. She went to high school at Olney in Philadelphia only until the 9th grade. Rusty worked on a assembly line for Proctor Silex during World War II helping supply the troops. She enjoyed bowling and crocheting and was the number 1 fan of her 3 boys in all their sporting teams. She was a den mother and hockey mom. She gave generously to many charities especially the Veterans. Rusty is survived by her sons, Paul and his wife Susan, Ron and his wife Pat and Jay and his wife Trisch and their 6 children (Kelsey, Marta, Jesse, Matt, Nicole & Stephanie) and 5 grand children (Hunter, Christopher, Olivia, Piper & Madison). Rusty was preceded in death by her husband Erwin. Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society PO Box 22478 Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
