Obituary of William Bower

William “Tex” Bower, 73, of Wildwood Crest, NJ passed away peacefully at homeTuesday, March 10, 2020 surounded by family. Tex was born in Darby, PA. He was a retired military serviceman. Tex served in the United States Marine Corps for eight years. During his time with the Marines he served as a radio operator in Vietnam. He then enlisted with the United States Army and served an additional fourteen years. Following his time in the service he and his family retired to his family home in Wildwood Crest. Tex loved riding his motorcycle “Oorah”. He lived by the motto “Once a Marine always a Marine”. He also loved brewing beer and spending time with his family. Tex is survived by his wife of 51 years Torchy Bower (Jenner). Three sons Dustin (Sarah), Patrick (Jenny), Grady (Heather). 11 grandchildren Jake, Randy, Phil, Lexi, Francis, Gavin, Mary, Luke, Gemma, Mark, Rachel. 2 sisters JoAnn Golazewski and Cecilia Blundo (Bruce), and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents William and Eleanor. 2 daughters Kelly and Lena. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11am Friday Mar. 13, 2020 at Church of the Assumption,7100 Seaview Ave, Wildwood Crest, NJ. where friends may call from 10 to 10:45am a t the church.
