Marie Fennessy Obituary

Fennessy, Marie G., nee Flanagan, 91, of Wildwood Crest and recently of Victoria Manor in North Cape May passed away on Monday May 11, 2015 to be with the Lord. Born and raised in Philadelphia and lived in Levittown, Pa. for 34 yrs., she was a local resident for over 26 years. Marie was a graduate of Mercy Academy High School. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward & Mary Flanagan and her husband Richard. She will be sadly missed by her loving children Richard (Carol), Maureen Hobbs (Richard), Edward (Phyllis) and Kevin (JoAnn). Also surviving is her dear sister-in-law, Elizabeth Reaney, 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 3 nephews and 1 niece. Marie was active in her parish church, Assumption B.V.M. in Wildwood Crest, serving as a former President of the Altar & Rosary Society, a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Charismatic group. She was also a member of the Wildwood Crest " Keen-Agers" and the Golden Age Seniors. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am Monday May 18th at the Church of the Assumption, 7100 Seaview Ave., Wildwood Crest, NJ where family and friends may call from 9am in the church. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Cold Spring, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to The Poor Clares-Monastery of St. Clare, 1271 Langhorne-Newtown Road, Langhorne, Pa. 19047.
