Dominick , I just found out about Debi and cannot find words to fill the void and pain you and your family are feeling. I have always felt that we were like brothers. Your family helped to raise me in my younger years, a debt I will always be thankful to owe. I never had the privilege of meeting your loved one, but I have worked with her daughter Debbie in Baltimore Maryland for a number of years. A wise person once wrote that you will know a tree by the fruit it bears. Mrs. Mattera's fruit has reached into our community, and we are blessed. So, may the God of Peace bring you comfort in this time of sorrow. As pass you through this vail of tears find confidence in knowing that the favor of God lasts for a lifetime. While weeping may endure for the night, you have the promise of the joy of a new day in Christ Jesus. For we know that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

My condolences to all the family and friends of Deborah! A member of our extended family, I always enjoyed her company at family gatherings. I don't think I ever saw her sad and if she was a bit cross - she turned it into a joke. From stories about "leftover soup" she made for the school cafeteria to stories about her daughter, Debbie, who is married to my nephew there was never a shortage of laughter.
