He was predeceased by his parents, Jiacomo and Catherine (nee Neery), his loving wife Clara (nee Taglialatela), his son David (Marilyn) and his sister-in-law Christina Taglialatela. He is survived by his sons Jack Mattera (Tery), Matthew Mattera (Julie), daughter-in-law Marilyn Mattera (David), his grandchildren: Chad (Soyoung), Jared (Ashley), Kyle (Karylin), Caitlin, Gabriel (Mike), Elizabeth and his great grandchildren Yu-Jin, Yae-Jin and Abigail. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish with his family and friends. He will most fondly be remembered as Dad and Pop-pop.
