Dorothy A. (“Dottie”) Stein of North Wildwood, NJ passed away peacefully and amongst family at her home in Anglesea on Tuesday, October 20, 2015. A lifelong resident of The Wildwoods, Dottie had a big heart and a happy, youthful spirit and remembered fondly her younger years growing up in 1930s Wildwood, spending long, carefree days at the beach and nights jitterbug dancing. A 1943 graduate of Wildwood High School, Dottie was a patriotic member of The Greatest Generation and proud of her nearly 30 years of service as a waitress at the famous Zaberer’s Restaurant in Anglesea. A devoted wife and loving mother, aunt and grandmother, Dottie was predeceased by her husband, Charles A. Stein and by her son, Charles J. Stein, and by her three sisters, Jeanette, Mary and Margaret. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Sims, and Cindy’s husband Rick Sims, of Las Vegas, NV, her daughter, Jeanette St. John, and Jeanette’s husband Francis, of Cape May, NJ, a niece, Marianne Chew of Erma, NJ and a grandson, Jeffery St. John. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 24 at 11 AM at the Ingersoll Greenwood Funeral Home, 1201 Central Avenue, North Wildwood.
