Anthony J. Poukish, 61, of Wildwood, NJ passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his wife and sons on Sunday, January 24, 2021. Born in South Philadelphia, PA he has been a local resident for the past 33 years. Anthony was a skilled mason and a member of the BAC Local 5, and he took great pride in his work. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, and spending time with his family. Anthony always put others first before himself, and he would help anyone in need—we truly lost a great man.
Anthony is predeceased by his parents Walter Poukish Sr and Agnes Poukish (Carabasi) and his brother Robert Poukish. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years Susan Poukish (Youst), his sons Anthony Poukish Jr & Joseph Poukish, his brothers Walter Poukish Jr and Charlie Poukish (Linda), and his sister Carmella Poukish (June). He is also survived by his Aunt Rosemarie Carabasi, nephews Lenny Bonsera, Robert LaMotta, Walter Poukish III, Timothy Poukish and Patrick Poukish, his nieces Jenine Iannaccone and Helena Poukish, his great-nephews Emilio and Joseph, and many cousins and friends whom he loved very much.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Thursday January 28, 2021 at St. Ann’s Church, 2900 Atlantic Ave., Wildwood, NJ where friends may call from 10:00 to 10:45 am at the church. Interment will be at 12 pm Friday January 29, 2021 in Glenwood Memorial Gardens, 2321 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA. Condolences may be sent to ingersollgreenwoodfh.com.
