Michael A. O’Brien, Sr., age 62, passed away in Wildwood Crest, NJ on Wednesday January 27th, 2021. He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Joyce (nee Hoelsworth), devoted father of 4 sons, Michael (Cristin), Thomas (Stephanie), Sean (Katie) and Kevin; brother of James O’Brien (Bettyanne), Christine Colligan (Joseph) and Jeanne Turner (Thomas); loving grandfather of Riley, Maggie, Lucy and Remy; and cherished by many other family, friends and co-workers. After 28 years, Michael retired from the Philadelphia Police Department, a career he was proud of (including his family). He enjoyed golfing with his brother-in-law (Jim Hoelsworth), watching Eagles games with his sons, going to the beach with his family and friends, goofing around with his granddaughters, and playing with his grandpuppies, including his own puppy, Holly. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service (10am-10:45am) followed by mass (11:00 am) on Friday, February 5th, 2021.
