Sunrise Sunset February 1, 1941 September 19, 2021 Obituary Archie James Pollard, Jr. of Philadelphia PA passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021. He was the oldest and only son of the late Pastor Archie James Pollard, Sr. and Dora Pollard. He has 5 sisters, Diane, Doris, Sylvia, Cheryl and Sharon,who he loved dearly. Archie met the love of his life, Suzy Hardin in 1966 and resided in Westampton Township and raised two step daughters, Carole and Muriel (Kikik) until Suzy passed away in 1985. Archie always had a love for music. He even made a couple of recordings with his sisters. He loved playing the bass and later became an oldies DJ. He was Sam Cooke’s biggest fan and his favorite group was the Drifters. Anything you wanted to know about music, you could ask Archie and get the answer. Archie never met a stranger and would go out of his way to help anyone that was in need. He loved meeting people and making new friends. Archie leaves behind so many to cherish his legacy. His sisters, Diane, Doris, Sylvia, Cheryl and Sharon. Step daughter, Muriel (Lorenzo) Joyce, his nephew, Michael Pollard who he cared about as if he was his own son, a host of other nieces and nephews, two grandchildren, Michael Madison and Chanel Joyce and 4 great grandchildren. Archie was a great friend to many and will be missed by so many. The family would like to give special thanks to his caregiver, Sue. You have gone above and beyond just being a friend. Thank you so much for being a part of Archie’s life until the end. Thank you for your kindness And care.
