When i didn't receive a Christmas card from Sandy this year, i was worried. I am so sorry to see today that she passed away last March. Her mother, Alma, and mine, Helen Headly Black, were childood friends and remained friends till Alma passed away. I kept in touch with Sandy while the other friends in their circle (Vivian Kloo and Betty Warner) were still living....Sandy faithfully kept in contact with all of them. I would call or meet her for lunch each year when i was in Wildwood, but this year didnt get down. I am so shocked and sorry to learn today that she passed away last March! Paul and I would like to extend our deepest condolences to Sandy’s family and friends. I worked with her dad (who we lovingly referred to as Johnny) at the magnesite plant. He was from Scotland and so was my dad so they got along swimmingly. Johnny always spoke of Sandy. I just found out that my daughter Donia (Who is also a teacher) was in a club and friends with Sandy. Oh what conversations they would have had if we knew that. Please accept our deepest condolences for the loss of Sandy. We worked with Sandy at Margaret Mace School. She was a dedicated teacher and good friend. She touched the lives of all the students she taught. While she may be gone her memory will live on in all who knew her.

Please accept my sincerest condolences for the loss of Sandra. She was such an inspiration to her students. I was in her very first 2nd grade class (68-69). She was awesome, we had a great teacher/student relationship too, she liked my straight A's. Then she taught my stepson, and then my granddaughter. When she met my granddaughter Alyssa, she said "OMG, I'm teaching 3 generations"? "I think it's time to retire". We will all miss her dearly.
