Obituary of George M. Sciarra

Sciarra, George Michael, 64 died with the rising sun on May 9, 2022 in Wildwood Crest, NJ surrounded and supported with love by his brothers, sisters and extended family.

Early in his life he lived and worked in San Diego and Chicago. Later on he worked in the casino industry for 25 years as well as the local family restaurants - Poppi’s Pizza and Mudhen.

George loved everything and everybody enjoying the simple pleasures in life - from running marathons, tossing the frisbee to friends and family and drinking a cold beer in his backyard. He was blue-eyed good looking, open hearted, authentic, and brave facing cancer. He humbly lived life on his own terms. Fiercely independent, George could be determined and persistent. Above all, George was full of love.

His mom, Helen, and dad, David, predeceased him.

His presence and spirit will be greatly missed by his long time companion Georgine, best friend Dave Gruber, brothers and sisters, Michael (Dee) of Wildwood Crest, NJ, David (Fay) of Lawrenceville, NJ, Ellie (Wolf) of Longmont, CO, Peter (Linda) of Wildwood Crest, NJ, and Kaye (Josh) of Hanalei, HI, and nephews and niece, Brendan, Christopher, Justin, Kathryn, Mikaiah, Paul, Robert and Sam.

Located in the Pine Barrens, George proudly loved his home in Dorothy, NJ.
