Obituary of Rose B Alfe

Rose Alfe, age 75, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, in Wildwood Crest, New Jersey. Rose was always a bright light in this often dark world and she will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to know her. She touched the lives of so many people across multiple generations. During her time with us, she made a point to always help anyone with whatever she could, never second-guessing her decision. Rose’s passion for her restaurant was on display nightly as she walked around and talked to everyone. She always said “Enter as strangers leave as friends.” Many of her staff and friends became family to her as well. Anyone who knows Rose, knows that her family meant everything to her and in her eyes, each of you reading this was family. When Rose wasn’t working in the kitchen or sitting by her back bar, she was probably tending to her garden or hosting one of her many dinner parties. While she greatly enjoyed hosting friends and family, her favorite pastime was ordering on QVC. After a busy summer season, Rose and her family would spend Thanksgiving in Aruba, a place that became her second home. Rose was predeceased by her parents, John and Sue Pinto. She is survived by her loving husband Anthony, daughter Susan, son Frank, Brother Frank (Maryann), Grandsons, Anthony, Michael and Dante, Granddaughter Adrianna, Niece Lauren and many cousins and dear friends. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at St. Ann Church, Notre Dame De La Mer Parish, between 9:00-10:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial and The Rite of Committal and Entombment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery
