Obituary of Suzanne Florence Plum
Suzanne F. Plum (Née Kane), 74 – of North Wildwood, passed away on September 27, 2022. Born in Philadelphia, Suzy and her family moved to North Wildwood in 1952 and she attended St. Ann School and Wildwood Catholic High School. Many people remember Suzy as that friendly nurse who would always go the extra mile for her patients. She retired in June 2020 from North Cape Center, continuing to take care of family and friends. Suzy was quite the character who will be fondly remembered as a sweet, spunky, straightforward soul who ran circles around everyone. She was a compassionate woman who loved all of God’s creatures, especially animals in need of rescue. Predeceased by her husband, Robert and parents, Harry and Mary, she is survived by her siblings: Barbara (Robert) Asselta of St Augustine, FL; Mary of North Wildwood; Daniel (Kathleen) of Sicklerville; and Matthew (Denise) of Corbin City; nephews and nieces: Nick (Stacy), Erin (Kelly), Jessica (Eric), Anna, Daniel, Dominic, Anthony, great-niece Alice Francis (born 9/27/22); and many family members and friends. Suzy’s family is grateful to all who have shown their love and concern for her during her illness, especially the staff of Hope Community Cancer Center and her best friend, Meg who was with her on her last day. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, October 7 at 11am at St. Ann Church, Wildwood, where friends may call from 9:30 am. to 10:45 am. Burial will follow in Cape May County Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Wildwood Catholic Academy, 1500 Central Avenue, North Wildwood, NJ 08260, or Animal Adventure Park, 85 Martin Hill Road, Harpursville, NY 13787.
