James B Murphy, aka ‘Jimmie’or ‘Murf’, 83, of North Wildwood, NJ passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 6, 2022. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Murf was a proud graduate of North Catholic and a veteran of the US Army. He was retired from the United States Postal Service.  He has been a North Wildwood local for over 25 years. He bartended at the Wildwood shore for over 60 years ( The Red Garter, Jimmies,The Elks, Donovan’s Reef and the Knights). He was a member of the Elks Lodge, the American Legion, the Knights of Columbus, VFW and the Moose. He was pre-deceased by his sister Marie Mitchell and is survived by his  two daughters Colleen Murphy & Bernadette Murphy, His three grandchildren Daniel (Liz), Leanna, and Kylie(Mike), he also has three great grandchildren Olivia, Emma and Thomas. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am Tuesday, Nov. 15th at St. Ann's Churh, 2900 Atlantic Ave., Wildwood, NJ where friends may call from 10 to 10:50 am. Interment will be in the Cape May County Veterans  Cemetery, Middle Township, NJ Condolences may be sent to ingersollgreenwoodfh.com.
