Obituary of Beverly J. Romeo

Beverly Jean Hansen Romeo, age 79 of Wildwood, New Jersey passed away peacefully on November 25, 2022, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Bev was born in Cooper Hospital in Camden, the youngest of four girls. She grew up in Westville, NJ and graduated from Woodbury High School, class of 1961. Bev met and married the love of her life, Dominic Romeo in 1962. Their union lasted sixty years and produced four wonderful sons.

Bev was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Catherine Hansen, her husband Dominic, her son Joseph, her sister Patricia McGraw, Father-in-law and Mother-in-law Felice and Maria Romeo, sister-in-law Catherine Visceglia, niece Marie Visceglia, brothers-in-law Sam Lilly, James Visceglia, and Bill Knestaut, great granddaughter Selah Katib, and nephew, Bill Knestaut.

Bev survived by her sons, Dominic (Deana), Christopher (Danielle), David (Jessica), daughter-in-law Jennifer Romeo – Campanella (Al), grandchildren Mia Blackman (Jawaun), Jeffrey Romeo, Karleen Katib (Joshua), Dominic J Romeo, Hailiegh Romeo, Daniella Romeo, Christopher Romeo, Jr., nine great granddaughters and many nieces and nephews. She was honored to be godmother to 15 children over the years. Her heart was as open as was her home on Andrews Ave. She was a household champion of Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. Bev worked at the Golden Age Travel Agency in Wildwood Crest for many years and was a member of the Cape May County Police Wives Association. Bev served her community during two terms on the Wildwood School Board. She was a devoted sports mom (with four boys!) and the best Mom and Nonna ever! She will be loved and missed by so many people; she touched so many lives. WE LOVE YOU MORE!

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am Saturday Dec. 3rd at St. Ann's Church, 2900 Atlantic Ave., Wildwood, NJ where friends may call from 9:00 to 10:45am.
