Jimmy was a good friend in HS. He helped an awkward teenager navigate the beginnings of a relationship with my first girlfriend. Jimmy was thoughtful, kind and hilarious. Although we lost touch after HS l would hear about him on occasion and it was always a story that left me smiling. I’m thankful to have known Jimmy.

Dear Patrick and family,
Jimmy was my first friend I met when I moved to Florida in 1978, he opened his heart to me and we became special friends. We had so much fun together. We lost touch for a few years but reunited years later. I will always have fond memories of our times together.

Jim and Pat were favorite guests at our restaurant in Cape May. Anthony and I liked to have meals together with them at off-times, too, always enjoying Jim’s joy of life and laughter, sharing cocktails and tales of the workplace, love, and friendships. I remember exactly how I met Jim. Without knowing him, I contacted him and asked if he could help with a Halloween party hosted by GABLES of Cape May. He invited me to his and Patrick’s home when they lived off the Cape May Canal. He donated some tickets we could use which helped reduce our spending costs. He shared the importance of giving back and supporting the LGBTQ+ community. Then he proceeded to give me a tour of their beautiful home emphasizing how much he loves being near water. It is very comfortable being with him. What a kind, sensitive man!

My deepest sympathy for the passing of Jim - I met him when I bought my condo at Seapointe in the fall of 1994, and we had a lot of fun discussing Seapointe and buying from Jim. Over the years we met many times to just catch up and share a laugh. I know the entire Seapointe community will miss him, as I will. A great guy - and his wonderful niece Mickey did a super job in taking over for him. RIP
